Frequently Asked Questions

Wearing false lashes doesn't have to take up all your time and leave you feeling stressed. Well at least not with SpotOn Eyelashes, it doesn't.

If you're wondering how to apply magnetic eyelashes with SpotOn Magnetic Eyelashes, rest easy. The process is so simple that you'll never want to switch to the old way of wearing false lashes again!

We know how messy glue can be and how difficult the process of sandwiching your lashes between magnetic stips can be.

So instead, we found a way to take all the drama out of the relationship between you and your lashes. In four easy steps, you'll have your dream lashes in just a few minutes.

How to apply magnetic eyelashes in four easy steps:

   1. Apply your SpotOn Magnetic Eyeliner

   2. Apply mascara while you wait for the magnetic liner to dry (optional)

   3. Perform the "dry test"

   4. Once your magnetic liner is dry, snap on your SpotOn Magnetic Eyelashes. And that's it! They will click on instantly. It really is that simple, and it takes only a few minutes.

Choosing Between Gel and Liquid Eyeliner:

When you apply magnetic eyelashes, you can either choose to use magnetic gel or liquid eyeliner. Both work perfectly with all of our magnetic lashes, so you can make your choice based on whichever one you love more!

Our gel eyeliner has more of a creamy texture and is perfect for a smokey eye look or for a fun cat-eye. It dries down super matte and works for both day and night! If you're new to using eyeliner, the gel will most likely be the easiest for you to apply. Just make sure that you have the eyeliner brush that goes with the gel.

If you want more of a precise line, then our liquid magnetic eyeliner is probably the better choice for you since it's thinner. If you're new to liquid eyeliner but you still want to use it, it will take a little practice. But the end result will definitely be worth it!

Can't choose between the two? You can always try both! It's always great having the best of both worlds, and you'll have so many looks that you can try out.

Best Tricks for Liquid Magnetic Eyeliner:

Since liquid eyeliner is a little more difficult to apply, we've put together a few tips and tricks that you can use. Use any or all of these tips to become a pro at applying liquid eyeliner!

#1: Shake your liquid eyelinerYou always want to start by shaking your SpotOn Liquid Eyeliner. This will help make sure your liquid eyeliner is covered on your brush tip which will make it easier to apply.

#2: Stabilize your hand on your faceTry to avoid having shaky hands when you're putting on liquid eyeliner. Stabilizing your hand on your face will give you more control when applying your eyeliner.

#3: Stamp and use small brushstrokesOnce your hand is stabilized, you can draw short brush strokes or you can use a stamping motion where you stamp the eyeliner onto the lash line to create the line. You can also use a combination of the two where you stamp and then create a small brushstroke afterward.

#4: Hold your eyeliner toward the endIf you hold your liquid eyeliner near the end, it will help you to not put too much pressure on the tip when you're applying it. Putting too much pressure can result in an uneven look.

#5: Fill in the gap linesMake sure to fill in the gaps in your lash lines so that the magnetic lashes blend better with your natural lashes.

#6: Winged eyeliner (optional)To get the perfect winged eyeliner look, imagine a line that extends from your lower lash line to your eyebrow. Once you've extended the line, connect the wing to the rest of the liner and fill it in.After you have the general shape, you can go in and make the wing even more sharper and precise.

#7: Close your eyesThis tip is especially important if you have hooded eyes. Look down or close your eyes while your eyeliner is drying so that it doesn't rub off on the top of your lid. Wait at least two minutes and then perform the "dry test."

#8: Start with your eyeliner

If you're new to liquid eyeliner, we recommend applying your eyeliner before you apply the rest of your makeup.

Applying your liner first will help just in case you make any mistakes. It will be easier for you to correct them, and you won't have to worry about messing up any of the other makeup that you have already applied.

Now that we know how easy and simple it is to put on SpotOn Magnetic Eyelashes, let's get to the basics. But before we get started, let's learn about what exactly SpotOn Magnetic Lashes are.

What are SpotOn Magnetic Lashes?

Our magnetic eyeliner lashes are easy, simple, and safe to use. Instead of using glue, our lashes will instantly click onto the magnetic liner once you apply it.

The lashes are able to stick onto the eyeliner because both the liner and lashes are magnetic. If you look at the lashes, you'll notice that they have tiny magnets along the lash strip.

If you're tired of how messy glue can be or how time-consuming and expensive lash extensions are, then you'll love our magnetic eyeliner lashes. Applying them takes no longer than a few minutes, and you'll find that they leave no mess behind!

You can find SpotOn Magnetic Eyeliner Lashes on Amazon or through our website.

Here are the basics you need to know about our magnetic eyelashes:

#1: Take care of your liquid magnetic liner.

Always make sure to shake your magnetic liner before you apply it so that the formula can blend together properly. When you open your liner, wiggle the tip back and forth to loosen up the bristles. If you don't do this, you'll notice that the tip of the liner will be too stiff.

Apply the magnetic liner the way you would with any other kind of liner. Make sure that you put on an even coat anywhere that you are going to apply the lashes so that it will stick on and stay all day.

#2: Always perform the "dry test" before applying lashes

Anytime you apply your liner, you MUST let it dry before putting on your magnetic lashes. If you don't let your liner dry before applying your lashes, it will ruin them.

The best way to tell if your magnetic eyeliner is dry or not is by performing the "dry test." You can do this by waiting for the liner to dry for two minutes after you apply it.

Once you've waited, tap your liner with your ring finger. If any residue comes off, then it's not dry and you need to wait another minute or so.

If no residue comes off, then you're all set to snap on your lashes and go on with your day!

#3: Keep your magnetic lashes away from water.

You may have heard that our magnetic liner is waterproof. That’s correct. However, that's not the case with our magnetic lashes.

Avoid getting into the water with them on, and try to use an umbrella if you're out in the rain. Getting them wet will ruin them.

If you do decide to go swimming, make sure to take them off and put them safely in the box that they came in. We recommend taking the box with you when you go out just to be safe!

#4: Take proper care of your lashes.

If you take proper care of your lashes, they will last up to 30 uses. Practice the “dry test” every time you apply your lashes so that you don’t get wet eyeliner on them. Always clean them properly, and put them back in the box they came in when you're not using them.

#5: Keep makeup remover that contains oil away from your lashes.

If you're going to clean your lashes with makeup remover, make sure that it's oil-free. This is because the oil will cause the magnetic properties to fall apart which will ruin the magnetic lashes.

Our pre-moistened cotton swabs are perfect for cleaning magnetic eyeliner, but they do contain olive oil so make sure not to use them on your magnetic eyelashes.

#6: Clean your magnetic liner brush after every use

If you decide to use our SpotOn Magnetic Gel Liner, make sure to clean your brush after every use. This is very important because the gel will dry on the brush and cause it to stiffen up. If that happens, you're going to have a lot of trouble cleaning it after that.

To make sure that you're getting the most out of your magnetic eyelashes, you MUST put them on correctly. Doing so will ensure that they last all day and that you'll get to use your lashes up to 30 times!

If you want to know more about how to put on magnetic eyelashes, here is a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Choose your lash style

Luckily, SpotOn has plenty of lash styles for you to choose from. You can choose your lash style based on your eye shape, which mood you're in, or the occasion.

Step 2: Apply your makeup

Apply all of your makeup before you put on your magnetic liner and lashes. You'll want to prime your eyes with an eye primer as it will help keep your liner in place all day and prevent it from creasing.

Step 3: Line your lashes

Line your lashes with our SpotOn Magnetic Liquid Eyeliner. Make sure that you apply enough eyeliner so that it will be able to hold your magnetic lashes properly. This will ensure that they’ll stay on throughout the day.

Our eyeliner is waterproof and smudge-proof, so you will be able to wear it worry-free all day through stress, sweat, laughing, and crying.

Step 4: Let your magnetic eyeliner dry

Allow your magnetic liner to dry for three to five minutes. If you don't let them dry, you will get residue on your lashes and that will prevent them from working properly.

Step 5: Apply mascara (optional)

If you prefer to wear mascara with your magnetic lashes, you can apply it while you wait for your magnetic liner to dry.

You don't want to get mascara on your lashes, so make sure to give them a minute to dry as well.

Apply a layer of your mascara carefully onto your natural lashes. If you have hooded eyes, you might find it easier to keep your eyes closed during this process so that the eyeliner doesn't smudge onto your brow bone.

However, if it does- no worries! You can use our SpotOn Eyeliner Remover Swabs to clean up any smudges.

Step 6: Perform the "dry test"

Before applying your magnetic eyelashes, you must perform the "dry test" by tapping your finger on the liner to make sure it's fully dry. If ANY residue comes off, then it isn't ready.

Step 7: Apply your SpotOn Magnetic Lashes

If the eyeliner is completely dry, then you're good to go to attach your magnetic lashes onto your liner. The lashes will instantly snap on.

If the eyeliner is still wet, wait for one or two more minutes and then perform the dry test again.

As we mentioned before, traditional magnetic lashes don't work very well. However, our SpotOn Magnetic Lashes are made to solve every problem that you'd experience with traditional magnetic lashes.

In order for your magnetic lashes to work properly, make sure that you follow all of the directions given when applying and taking care of your magnetic lashes.

If you want to know how SpotOn Magnetic Lashes have worked for others, then you can read our posts or visit or social media

Our magnetic liner is designed to keep your magnetic lashes on even during the windiest of days. If you don't believe us, you can always try the blow-dry test. Grab your hairdryer, set it on a cool setting, and point it at your lashes. You'll notice that they'll stay right on!

So, do magnetic lashes work?

We think the evidence speaks for itself, but you truly won't know until you try it yourself!

If you're ready to test it out, we recommend starting with our Starter Kit. The kit comes with your magnetic eyelash choices of Classy, Sassy, or Flashy. You'll also get our magnetic eyeliner.

Fair warning though: You will be amazed at how well our magnetic lashes work, and you'll never want to use a different method again!

If you want to know how to use magnetic lashes with eyelash extensions, the process of applying them on is still very similar.

Before you apply your liner, make sure you warm up your fingers and gently lay them against your lash extensions. It may sound weird, but if you've ever tried to put on eyeliner with lash extensions, you know that the liner can sometimes get caught in the lashes. Heating up your fingers by rubbing them together will help flatten the lash extensions while you apply your magnetic liner.

Let the liner dry for two minutes, use the dry test, and then pop on your magnetic lashes.

Once you choose your lash style and apply it, make sure to brush your lashes together with a lash brush or our SpotOn Lash Applicator.

Did you know that there's a lash style that goes with your eye shape? In order to find out which style goes best with your eyes, you need to know your eye shape. Your eye shape will either be round, almond, mono-lid, deep-set, or hooded.

For round eyes, you'll want to use our Flashy magnetic lashes. If you have almond-shaped eyes, our Sassy magnetic eyelashes are the way to go. Mono-lid eyes go best with our Baby magnetic lashes. For deep-set eyes, our Baddy magnetic lashes will look amazing on you.

If you have hooded eyes, our Flashy magnetic eyelashes will make your eyes pop!If you have a unique eye shape, you can always trim your magnetic lashes to fit your eyes better. Just make sure that you use a pair of lash scissors and nothing else. They are meant specifically for lashes and will cut them as precisely as you need them to be.

When cutting your magnetic lashes, start by measuring them up against your eye. When you do trim them, keep in mind that there is a magnet at each end of the lash strip for a reason. There needs to be a magnet at the end of both sides of the strip so that the end of your lashes will stay down. So cut next to where the next magnet is located.

Make sure to trim from the outer corner because the inner corner is made to blend in well with your natural lashes. Once you’ve done that, hold them up to your eye to see if they have a better fit. If not, you can trim them more. If they're just right, apply your eyeliner and snap your lashes on!

We know that you’ll love your magnetic lashes, and we want you to get the most out of them. Make sure to clean them properly so that they will last up to 30 uses!

How to clean magnetic lashes:

    1. Remove your magnetic eyelashes and set them aside.

   2. Grab an oil-free makeup remover or micellar water. Make sure that whichever you choose, it's oil-free. This is                       because the oil will break down the magnetic properties which will cause the lashes to fall apart, and we don't want         that!

   3. Pair up your makeup remover or micellar water with a Q-tip and gently rub off any excess makeup that's on the                 magnetic lashes.

   4. Once you finish cleaning your lashes, put them back into the box they came from. Doing this will help them stay               clean, sanitized, and ready for multiple uses!If you use the gel magnetic liner, you'll want to make sure that you're             cleaning it properly too. Clean it right away in between every use. If you don't, the gel will dry onto your brush and             make it stiff which won't make it easy for you to use it in the future.

Once the gel stiffens your brush, it will be a pain trying to remove it. You can simply clean your brush with any makeup remover or a brush cleaner.

So the day is over and you've been wearing your SpotOn Magnetic Lashes all day, and it's time to take them off!

If you apply your magnetic lashes properly, then removing them should be super easy! Always make sure that you're letting your magnetic eyeliner dry for two minutes after putting it on. You can always tell if the liner is dry by performing the "dry test."

The best way to completely remove magnetic lashes and eyeliner is by using our pre-moistened olive oil cotton swabs. These cotton swabs come individually packaged so that it's easy and convenient for you to take them along with you anywhere you go!

They're infused with olive oil which is really good for dissolving the magnetic properties that are in the eyeliner. When using them, you'll notice that your eyeliner will come off very easily.

If you don't want to use our pre-moistened cotton swabs, then you can also use micellar water to remove your liner.

Here's how to completely remove magnetic lashes and liner:

Step #1: Remove your SpotOn magnetic lashes

Gently remove the magnetic lashes by holding them from the outside corners and pulling them very slowly away from the eye until you hit the inner corner. This is a VERY important step. You MUST remove the eyelashes first. Touching the lashes with any kind of oil, including our pre-moistened cotton swabs, can ruin them.

Step #2: Clean your magnetic lashes

If you see any makeup build-up on your magnetic lashes, clean them with makeup remover that doesn't contain oil or with oil-free micellar water.

Step #3: Put away your lashes

Put your SpotOn magnetic lashes back into the box that they came in.

Step #4: Grab your pre-moistened cotton swabs

Open your pre-moistened cotton swab packet and place it on your liner. Make sure that you tear it open from the center rather than the end so that you don't mess up the cotton swab.

Step #5: Clean off your SpotOn magnetic eyeliner

We recommend you do a rolling motion with the cotton swab as you're removing your liner. The liner will come off very easily, so there's no reason to rub it off. If you do rub the liner off, it can cause irritation.

Step #6: Wash your makeup off

Once all of your eyeliner is off, take a cotton round and your favorite eye makeup remover and gently pat it on your eye until all of the makeup is off.

And that's it! Removing magnetic lashes is just as easy, if not easier than applying them.
